Daniel Loigerot

CEO/ Founder
Daniel Loigerot brings over 25 years of international experience to the fitness industry. Along with being one of the foremost Athletic trainer, Daniel has owned & managed successful fitness centers in France and in the US. Just a few of the celebrities that worked with Daniel at DLFit include Naomi Watts, Scarlett Johansson, Patty Hansen, Liev Schreiber, Edward Norton, Keith Richards, Emeka Okafor. He co-wrote “21″ 2 Experts – 1 Goal, he previously also co-authored of the Pilates Edge – An Athlete’s Guide to Strength and Performance Presently, Daniel overlooks the development and execution of the growth strategy of Daniel Loigerot Inc. Daniel Loigerot Inc. specializes in providing Health, Wellness and Stress Management Programs through its DL FIT Brand. Individual and group Wellness classes are organized both at the conveniently located DL FIT Pilates & Wellness Studio in Soho Manhattan and in retreats organized in Spas/Resorts internationally. Prior to launching the DL FIT Brand, Daniel co-owned The Pilates Edge Studio (SoHo, New York) from 2001-’04 and Gymnastique Loigerot (Marseille, France) from 1987- 2000.

Core to Daniel’s presence in the fitness industry is his expertise and background training.Daniel has multiple degrees from the Sport University of AIX-Marseilles and its School of Medicine. Daniel holds an elite certification in the Pilates Method for Body Conditioning from Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska, one of the last remaining Pilates disciple who was personally trained by Joseph Pilates and is a certified Sports Nutritionist. From 1990 to 1996 he was a National French Triathlete and participated in the World Championships. He subsequently became the strength coach for the National French Basketball Team from 1996 to 1998. Finally, from 1997 to 1999 he was the strength coach for the National French Cyclist Team.Daniel’s expertise has been widely recognized by the media. Sarita Allen

Trainer

Sarita Allen, a world-renowned dancer and performing artist whose career has spanned three decades, began her training at the acclaimed Cornish School of the Arts in Seattle Washington, and later received a scholarship to the Dance Theater of Harlem in New York City. She soon developed a dual interest in both performing and fitness and began studying Pilates Technique with Kathy Grant. Grant is regarded as one of two “grand dames” in the technique, and was personally taught and certified by technique founder and fitness innovator Joseph H. Pilates.

 

Striving to maintain her competitive edge while increasing her knowledge in the field of fitness Sarita began training with the inventor of the Gyrotonic Expansion System Julio Horvath. Her approach of incorporating both the physical and the mental development of the individual has made her a teacher in demand worldwide. Most notably is a guest teacher/instructor for the top academics in Tokyo, Japan in 2000 as a part of their fitness training and education.

 

Additional international credits include the University of Salvador in Brazil (2002), where she taught both Dance and Pilates, as a part of the International Dance Festival in Bahia. An eight-month residency in 2006 at Planet Health Club Istanbul, Turkey’s most venerable fitness facility, and instructor for the continuing education of fitness trainers working at the Four Season’s Hotel and Resort in Maui (2007- 2011). In the United States she has taught master classes and extensive fitness workshops at UCLA, Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Dean College, Spellman College.

 

In 2009 was a visual consultant on two Mari Winsor’s video productions; the Pilates for Pink Video (which was Produced by Shape Magazine with the profits of the video going for Breast Cancer Research), and the new product Core Reformer produced by Gaim. Other high profile media work from 2010 to 2013 includes training models that have appeared on the iconic televised Victoria Secret’s Fashion Show, and in the Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Edition. In 2012 Sarita was invited to teach a Muscle Release Workshop at the In Balance Studio in Sag Harbour.

 

Sarita had also had an illustrious career in the performing arts. Her relationship with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater spans more than twenty years, as principal dancer, company teacher and school faculty member. Most notable performances include The Metropolitan Opera, The Paris Opera, La Scala, The Pyramids at Giza, Tivili Theater in Copenhagen, The White House for the inaugurations of Presidents Gerald Ford and Bill Clinton. In 2004 she received an award for her contribution to the international dance at the Bolshoi Theater during the Moscow Ballet Festival.

 

She has had the distinction of choreographing Elton John’s Aida for three touring companies North American (2008), Bejiing and Shanghai (2010), and Taiwan (2012). Her continuing association with Complexions Contemporary Ballet has evolved from performer to teacher and she is currently Artistic Advisor. She has taught Pilates at the company’s summer intensive program for the last five years including a residency at Wayne State University (2011) and in 2013 will be on both the faculty the Joffrey Ballet and Complexions summer intensive programs. Currently she is a faculty member at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, A member of the wellness teams at DLFit Pilates Wellness Studio and HBO Fitness Center.

Patricia Moya

Trainer

Patricia Moya is a dedicated fitness educator, specializing in the art of movement. Her background includes over 20 years practicing Pilates, Dance and Yoga. She received her Pilates certification under the tutelage of Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska. She has taught private Pilates instruction at Grasshopper Pilates, NYC, The Art of Control, Mt. Kisco and Can Do Health Club, Short Hills, NJ. Since then she has focused on teaching exclusively with Daniel Loigerot at The DL FIT Pilates Wellness Studio, formerly The Pilates Edge Studio. For over a decade, Patricia toured professionally in Broadway productions, both nationally and internationally, as well as appeared in numerous TV programs and advertisements. Most recently, she has also featured in Lifestyle and Fitness Advertising campaigns for the U.S. Dept. of Health, and she has has also contributed editorial content to Wellness publications which include OReal SimpleBody & Soul and Redbook.

Michel Wisse

Trainer

“Misha” was born in Amsterdam, Holland but grew up in NYC. As a child he danced with the school of American Ballet performing in many productions throughout his childhood. Misha danced professionally for San Francisco Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet for 10 years. He has also guest performed with Miami City Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. During his career he was an avid practitioner of the Pilates method and spent his free time learning how to strengthen his body and perfect his craft. A back injury cut his ballet career short, but Misha is now happy to be in the position to help others learn how to empower themselves through the Pilates method. He also studies acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse on the Upper East Side.

Sarah Hester

Trainer

Originally from San Francisco, Sarah Hester moved to New York to study under Brooke Siler and Cary Regan at re:AB Pilates.  She completed over 800 hours of training and has since attended several continuing education workshops let by Jay Grimes, Kathryn Ross Nash, Joe Muscolino, and more.  Before finding Pilates, Sarah studied Health Education at California State University, Chico and ran several half marathons and the San Diego full marathon.  Since practicing Pilates, Sarah has been relieved from back pain and has greatly increased her strength and flexibility.  Along with the 6 principals of Pilates, Sarah believes each session must include laughter, sweat and an “ah-ha!” moment.  She looks forward to sharing the many benefits of Pilates she has experienced with you
